Chunky Beef Stew
If you are looking for some healthy stew this is the right recipe for you. It is good for you if you are on a diet because it is very low in calories, healthy and delicious fat burning beef stew.
Prep and cook time: 50 minutes
3/4 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into small cubes
3/4 pound small potatoes, halved
9 ounces frozen cut green beans (2 cups)
4 carrots, peeled and cut into small pieces
1 onion, cut into wedges
14 ounces low-sodium beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 cans tomato sauce
1. Over medium-high heat, lightly coat a pot with cooking spray and add the beef. Cook 4 to 5 minutes. Remove beef from pot and set aside.
2. Add potatoes, green beans, carrots, onion, broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and pepper to the pot. Bring it to a boil. Cover it, reduce heat and simmer, about 15 minutes.
3. Add tomato sauce to pot. Bring it back to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Add beef, heat thoroughly and serve.
